A mum of two small children, one at school, and one not yet of school age as asked to attend Jury Service, which ended up being for 10 weeks in all. As she didn’t have anyone to take care of the youngest child, or pick the oldest one up from school and then take care of them both, she asked her partner, who lives elsewhere to help her out with caring for them both. Someone took it upon themselves to report her to the DWP for having her partner live with her, presumably because they were seen at the house on a daily basis. In response to this the DWP suspended her benefits and she is due to attend a fraud interview with the DWP in early July. Our agents are helping her to put forward a case in argument of what has happened and to prove that her partner does not live with her. We agreed as this might take some time and there are three of them, to send over £150 to hopefully help keep them afloat until this decision can be overturned.
